SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING PRISTINE TIMEWARP WITH RAPIDFIRE

Pristine RapidFire includes a special version of TimeWarp as a subsystem of this powerful digital audio system, allowing users of RapidFire to use TimeWarp to capture network feeds and special programs in the background for delayed broadcast. There are two versions of TimeWarp, one that works in the background as part of RapidFire and a stand alone version that can be installed on a dedicated workstation.

In order to accommodate the many traffic systems that RapidFire interfaces with, a few special instructions need to be followed so RapidFire can correctly record and playback TimeWarp events.

SPECIAL TIMEWARP INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. All TimeWarp events must me recorded as 9000 series numbers. Start your first TimeWarp event at SP9001.SPC in the TimeWarp scheduling software and go up from there.
  2. If you are using DARTS for your traffic system, be sure to setup the Automation Descriptions so that the 9000 series numbers are translated corrected. Go to MASTERFILE MAINTENANCE ==> AUTOMATION DESCRIPTIONS and enter the following ranges:
DARTS Source Number Physical Source Number
    90 Q0
    91 Q1
    92 Q2
    93 Q3
    94 Q4
    95 Q5
    96 Q6
    97 Q7
    98 Q8
    99 Q9

Press the [ENTER] key to advance through the remaining fields in the screen and enter [Y] to accept the new automation descriptions.

  3. If you are using another traffic system other than DARTS, make sure you use the corresponding 9000 series cart number to schedule playback of your TimeWarp events.
  4. Since RapidFire requires a five digit number for all playlist items, TimeWarp will automatically add a leading 9 to the scheduled audio file number. For example, audio file 9001 in both the traffic systems and TimeWarp software will result in an audio file named SP99001.SPC and playback of HD99001 in the playlist.
  5. If you are recording your TimeWarp events directly in RapidFire on the Playback Computer, the output audio files will be stored in the C:SPC subdirectory of your Playback Computer.
  6. If you are recording your TimeWarp events on a stand alone TimeWarp Workstation, record the files to a mapped network drive that is connected to the Playback Computer. The audio files will be stored in the MUSICMGR directory of the mapped network drive on the Playback Computer.
